ABOUT
The Golden Ratio
The mission of the Golden Ratio is to teach 3D and through doing so, provide new opportunities and encourage innovation to help make a positive impact on the world. It is also our goal to inform people about the real world applications of 3D and the potential it has for the world.
We teach 3D through CAD software by conducting CAD classes online. We also 3D print designs that are made in the class to provide the students with real and tangible products that they can keep for themselves. This is very good since having the actual object that was designed in front of the students helps them understand what they can expect from 3D printing and how to improve their model.
3D printing can be very useful and has a lot of potential in the future. So far, it has been used for rapid prototyping saving time and resources. But now, 3D printing is being used to manufacture products that are much cheaper and take less time such as the SuperDraco engine by SpaceX, made fully of metal, to be used on the Dragon space shuttle on the first ever commercial rocket launched into space.
CAD is also a crucial component for anyone that wants to go into any field of engineering since it is the first step of the engineering process: design and visualization.
Our Team

I am a rising Junior in Milpitas High School and am very passionate about astronomy and robotics. I am a part of the VEX team in the Milpitas Xtreme Robotics, my high school's robotics team. Together, we have been able to reach world competition for VEX. I have also won a IEEE technology award for my science fair about ion engines. Apart from my passion of astronomy and robotics, I like to make 3D art and VFX in Blender, I like to solve puzzles, and like cooking.
I am a rising junior at Dublin High School, passionate about engineering design which I started in middle school. Apart from designing, I love maths and physics, enjoy participating in competitive math contests and science fairs. My hobbies include playing tennis, online gaming and coding.

I am a rising Junior at Fremont High School and I have around 4 years in various topics related to robotics. I am a part of my local FTC robotics team and have been in a couple organizations revolving around robotics and technology in general. On my free time i'm either out playing basketball or inside playing video games and reading.
I am a Sophomore at California High School and I really like CAD design. I have taken multiple college level engineering courses, and I have enjoyed all of them. I also love to make engineering projects. Apart from engineering design, I play ice hockey, and in my free time, I like to play video games.
